We uphold a positive and proactive safety culture, and lead by example in all aspects of our business. We strive to exceed best practice and install this value in personnel and subcontractors.
Safety Management System
Wellington Contracting systematically identify all hazards in our workplace by maintaining a hazard register and where required, by completing a task analysis for the jobs we undertake. These are all documented and stored at our office for future reference. All site supervisors are required to fill out all hazard ID forms, task analysis for projects undertaken by Wellington Contracting. Chris Mooney, the health & safety manager constantly reviews these forms to ensure that all hazards are identified and controlled as best applicable.
All incidents, accidents and near misses are to be reported to the on-site supervisor. He then fills out a report which is sent to the health and safety manager who actions the report to the client with corrective actions.
Our health & safety management system provides us the tools and monitoring to:
Ensure pre-employment medical and drug test are completed
Set health and safety objectives and performance criteria for all employees
Annually review health and safety objectives and performance against the established criteria
Ensure accurate and timely reporting and recording of all incidents and injuries
Investigate all reported incidents and injuries to ensure all contributing factors are identified and, where appropriate, plans are developed to take corrective action.
